We have had such a busy start to 2025 in Year 6! All of us have made excellent progress in our SATs preparations, the final push is nearly here, keep up the hard work everyone!
We have excelled in the whole school reading challenge, and between the two classes have read a total of 6 million words in our school reading books!! This is incredible! Jaguars just pipped Tigers to the prize (photographed below) which was a basketball session with one of the tallest people that Mr Wyton has ever seen, Chris Tawiah (who is the chairman of Peterborough Basketball Club, who train at Manor Drive!).
We have also had a really important PSHE unit this term which has equipped our children with essential knowledge about first responses in different emergency situations, including choking. We were also joined by ‘The Conversation’ who delivered a very engaging session on where babies come from and the stages of adolescence.
Lots and lots of other exciting learning, as always, and even a scientific observation over time which researched the stages of mould growth on bread.
