We successfully celebrated World Book Day at school. All children completed learning linked to ‘Flotsam’, a wordless text about a mysterious underwater camera.
Children enthusiastically wore their pyjamas to school, seizing the opportunity to complete their usual daily reading in even more relaxed comfort. Pupils in all classes had chance to guess the ‘Masked Reader’ by recognising the voice following teachers in school recording themselves resding aloud the Gruffalo. Some year groups took part in the online Footy Booky quiz run by the National Literacy Trust too! At the end of the day prizes were awarded for the most inventive prop made by pupils at home. (Pictured are some of the winners.)
A very busy, fun-filled day to celebrate our love of reading at Paston Ridings.
