Year 5 have been having a busy year, learning about the Victorians. Our topic started with
a Victorian timeline, understanding the key events and how they fit into the wider picture of our country's history.
In science we have conducted some experiments about properties of materials such as if materials are dissolvable.
In design and technology, we have been investigating bridge structures and innovative design linked to our historical learning of the industrial revolution.
This term we are learning about the VIrtorians, our In September we visited the Wellcome Genome Centre in Cambridge. We had great fun learning about the human genetic code and met scientists, asking them lots of interesting questions, such as 'How do you collect the cancer from someone to analyse it?' The scientist told us about how they got into science and how important working efficiently was.
