I have worked in publishing and for many years in education, countrywide. During that time I have been a governor in Peterborough primary schools and up until recently Chair of Governors of Winyates’ Primary. Children who leave primary education with good basic skills and as well rounded individuals have the best chance to succeed in adulthood. This is my aim for all Paston children.

I have been a governor here for 6 years. I am Vice Chair and have the role of Safeguarding Governor, I am also link Governor for Maths and SEND. I have taught in various peterborough schools and was a Headteacher of two schools for over 20 years. Having been a Headteacher I understand the valuable role that governors can play in the success of a school. I became a governor to pay some of that back. I have a big family with 6 grandchildren, the oldest being 18 and the youngest 8.

I have been Deputy Headteacher at Paston Ridings for 9 years. Out of school, I am a proud mum of 2 very lively girls, aged 3 and 1, who love to keep me entertained!
My role in school keeps me very busy, not only overseeing Safeguarding, behaviour and attendance, but also strategically leading teaching and learning in school alongside other senior leaders. Staff at Paston always amaze me with their hard work, high expectations and dedication to all our children and their families. This is no different with our Governing Body. Whilst I am not a full Governor for the school, I attend all meetings and am able to support the Governors with their decision-making, improving the lives of all pupils, parents and our wider community.

Mrs D Sridhar
I am a geneticist and medical doctor with a Masters in Politics and a PhD in Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Oxford. I am currently a senior policy advisor to the UK Government, a development advisor to the University of Oxford’s Centre for Hindu Studies and a member of the current UK delegation to the UN.
I am a Trustee for Women’s Aid, the Women’s Interfaith Network and the faith-based organisation, Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam. I have been a senior civil servant for over 20 years, especially as part of the Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology. I am a strong advocate for the upliftment of women and children, continuing to work with Governments worldwide, to bring gender equality and equity. I am the founder of ‘Samraksha’, an organisation that helps women and girls from minority ethnic communities who are victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
I am also a Public Governor for the NHS, a Parish Councillor and on the Governing board of a local secondary academy. I strongly believe that every child matters and must be given all the tools necessary to achieve their full potential to grow into well rounded adults. My passion for doing everything possible to enable this is one of the fundamental reasons I am a governor at Paston Ridings Primary School.
